The news broke today that the Atlanta Falcons and the Tennessee Titans have mutually agreed to a trade deal for star WR Julio Jones.
In that deal, the Titans will receive Jones and the Falcons will receive at least a 2nd round draft for next year’s NFL Draft in 2022.
With their best receiver A.J Brown averaging 1,075 yds.’, 11tds, 15.4 yds.’ per reception, and 76.8 yds.’ per game, just imagine how his numbers are bound to increase with the addition of Jones to the team, along with his star running back Derrick Henry who’s coming off of arguably his best season so far in his career, averaging 2,027 rushing yds.’, 126.7 yds.’ per game, and 17 tds.
Brown this offseason had both knees surgically prepared due to tearing both of his ACL’s during the 2020 season, so the addition of Jones to the team was much needed due to how much pressure Brown would of been on
This team already (on paper) has the one of the leagues best receiving duos in the league due to the capabilities of both Brown and Jones, which also creates more of a chance for them to repeat as AFC South Division champions.
With them already being favorites to win the division, the Titans are now beyond guaranteed due to high power offense they now have on their team, along with their defense who seems to underrated by many.
Roster Grade: B+ (as of now)
