For the first time in three seasons, Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and the newly crowned Western Conference Champions the Golden State Warriors are back in the NBA Finals as they defeated the Luka Donic and Dallas Mavericks tonight with 120-110 victory at home in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final.
Curry maybe the captain and the best player on the team but he sure wasn’t the star tonight as Thompson was game changer, averaging 32 points, 2 rebounds, and 6 assist in Game 5 as he lead the Warriors to close out the series against Mavericks by beating them 4-1 to advance to the finals.
Now shame on the Mavericks as they just found like everyone else that this years wasn’t there year, but there’s no question they’ll be back in the mix next year this time around.
Now looking forward to future as the Warriors would look to win their fourth NBA Finals championship in five years as they and everyone will watch the remaining of the Eastern Conference Finals to see who they will play in their fifth appearance, Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and the Boston Celtics or Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry and the Miami Heat?
We should all have an answer within a week of who will represent the East in the 2022 NBA Finals.
