As the 2021 NFL season clearly ended the way the Los Angeles Rams and the #RamsHouse would like for it to in which their team is the announced as the Super Bowl champions, they have already made it clear that they would like for the same story to repeat itself in 2022 as they’re looking to defend their championship this upcoming season.
With some people in the media clearly favoring with Rams to repeat as the Super Bowl champions heading into 2022, Colin Cowherd from Fox Sports sports talk show “The Herd” being the latest one. On August 5th, 2022, Cowherd spoke on the Rams chances of repeating and he stated …
“I think the Rams are gonna repeat. I know it hasn’t happened since 2003-2004. A lot of things to remember: Seattle’s now tanking, Arizona’s been noisy, and we don’t know if Trey Lance can play,” The division is not as tough as it was. They’re gonna get more layup wins.” via Rams Wire (USA Today)
But he didn’t stop there, he went on to say …“And let’s just be honest: The NFC is not as good, nor as deep,” he continued. “Green Bay’s not as good. Mike Evans got hurt today. If Tampa and (Tom) Brady’s last year is not quite as dynamic, and I don’t think they will be, who’s in their way? Dallas? San Francisco? Noisy Arizona? Philadelphia?
Rams head coach Sean McVay stated in a press conference took a different approach towards the chances as he stayed as humble about his team as possible, when he stated …
“It was kind of good timing, because now it represents, ‘Let’s turn the page; “Let’s not minimize what a great year last year was, but that’s not going to have anything to do with this year.”
He went on to say …
“So many things have to go right,” McVay said. “We could be a better team this year, and I think we’ve got a chance to do that, and it might not mean we win a Super Bowl, because there are a lot of things that take place throughout the course of a game — the bounce of a ball here — certain things that are out of your control.” via Associate Press
But some people may lean right in between both Cowherd and McVay when it comes to the Rams chances of repeating as the Super Bowl champions in 2022 and one person will be Gilbert Manzano who is a beat reporter for the defending champions for The Orange County Register who stopped in on The Micbomb back in July.
He stated on the episode that he “Like the chances of the Rams repeating a lot!”

The Rams are more than aware that they are entering this season with a huge bulls eye on their backs as they look to win their 3rd Super Bowl title in franchise history and become the 8th in NFL history to win the Super Bowl back to back.
