On this week of The Micbomb, Buffalo Bills beat reporter and podcast Jeje Spencer from Buffalo Rumblings (SB Nation) was a special guest on the podcast this week as he stopped in the give his thoughts on the Bills heading into the 2022 season.
With all of this being said, he expects great things to happen within the #BillsMafia this year as this season is projected by many to be the season that the Buffalo Bills takes it all.
Coming off what many will call the “best playoff game in NFL history”, the Bills look to bounce back from a disappointing loss to their kryptonite the Kansas City Chiefs when they lost in overtime 42-36 with 8-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Patrick Mahomes to tight end Travis Kelce that sealed the game and ended the Bills season.
When asked about what does the Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen needs to do to take a step forward, he stated …
“Well, hmm .. well for Josh, I think that Josh has done everything he needed to do be looked as a top tier quarterback. I think now for him to take that next step, he has to have some efficiency. I don’t think he had a lot of turnovers but he had some turnovers. We have to have less interceptions. I do like what I see as of taking care of the ball, he’s not taking unnecessary hits. I think turning the ball over less will lead to him taking it to the next step this season. If does that, I think Josh Allen will be the MVP this season.”
With all of being said, Spencer isn’t alone with Allen being the MVP this season as he was voted by many to win it this year with a +700 odds, according to Fox Sports.
Coming off an dominant win in SoFi Stadium against the defending Super Bowl champions the Los Angels Rams, winning the game 31-10 with Allen averaging a combined of 4 touchdowns, 3 throwing and 1 rushing, with 352 combined yards, will sure put him right now as a front runner for that MVP trophy as the season comes along.
